On the 14th, the National Assembly held a plenary session and approved the 'Motion demanding an audit by the Board of Audit and Inspection on suspicions of Chairperson Lee's violation of the political neutrality obligation as a public official' with 191 votes in favor and 98 against out of 289 members present. Ruling party members cast opposing votes, while opposition party members voted in favor.

Chairperson Lee made remarks criticizing the opposition party on conservative YouTube channels while her duties were suspended following the passage of an impeachment motion by the National Assembly. The opposition party views her actions as a violation of the political neutrality obligation of public officials. The National Assembly's Science, Technology, Information and Broadcasting and Communications Committee, led by the opposition, approved the motion demanding an audit by the Board of Audit and Inspection on Lee on the 24th of last month. Ruling party members opposed, arguing that conducting an audit while the impeachment trial is ongoing is excessive.

During the vote on the audit demand motion that day, the ruling and opposition parties clashed. Lee Sang-hwi, a member of the People Power Party, raised his voice during the debate, saying, "Why does the Democratic Party overreact whenever Lee is mentioned?" and added, "Some media call it character assassination." In response, opposition party members retorted, "Don't say that," and "Did you come here to fight?" Even after the speaking time ended, when Lee continued speaking, opposition members pointed out, "You might as well filibuster (unlimited debate)." After Lee finished speaking and stepped down, ruling party members applauded and shook hands.
