Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) held a ceremony on the 14th in Goseon-dong Guseong Village to celebrate the commencement of city gas supply.

About 30 people, including village residents, city gas officials, and city representatives, attended the event.
The city invested a budget of 590 million KRW to install 2.2 km of supply pipes, enabling 40 households in Guseong Village to use city gas.
With the supply of city gas, residents are expected to save approximately 590,000 KRW annually on fuel costs. Additionally, it is anticipated that the risk of disasters such as LP gas accidents will decrease.
The residents said, “The long-awaited project of city gas supply has been realized, enhancing energy welfare and convenience for the residents of Guseong Village. We are grateful to Uijeongbu City and the city gas officials for considering vulnerable areas. We expect Guseong Village to develop further.”
Mayor Kim Dong-geun stated, “I am pleased that the supply of city gas allows the residents of Guseong Village to enjoy a cozy living culture in a clean area, realizing energy welfare. We will continue to strive to improve living conditions, including reducing fuel cost burdens for vulnerable groups.”
