KB Kookmin Bank Wins Grand Prize in the '2024 Korea Human Resource Development Awards'


KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 14th that it won the Grand Prize in the banking sector at the '2024 Korea Human Resource Development Awards' ceremony.


Organized by the Korea HRD Association, the 'Korea Human Resource Development Awards' recognize companies and educational institutions that have contributed to the advancement of human resource development and the promotion of educational culture in Korea. KB Kookmin Bank was selected as the Grand Prize winner in the banking sector for the second consecutive year, following 2023.


In this evaluation, KB Kookmin Bank received high marks in key areas such as ▲people-centered management philosophy ▲mid- to long-term human resource development strategies ▲systematic HRD systems, training programs, and educational facilities.


KB Kookmin Bank is expanding its investment in education with the goal of "developing top-tier talent leading the financial market." It fosters a self-directed learning culture to support employees in becoming experts in their respective fields and reorganized its training operation system by selecting core areas aligned with the bank’s mid- to long-term strategies.


Additionally, it established 'KB Starun,' a training platform incorporating the latest IT technologies. Employees can easily access systematic training programs and content, and motivational programs have been implemented to encourage active participation in learning.


Moreover, the bank operates various training programs that allow employees to choose and learn in fields they desire, and through leadership competency enhancement programs, it helps both employees and the bank grow together.
