Monayongpyeong Surpasses 20.6 Billion KRW in Cumulative Operating Profit for Q3... 91% Increase YoY

Mona Yongpyeong announced on the 14th that its cumulative sales for the third quarter on a consolidated basis reached 193.6 billion KRW. This represents a 47.9% increase compared to the same period last year and accounts for 91% of the full-year sales of the previous year.

The cumulative operating profit for the third quarter increased by 91% year-on-year to 20.6 billion KRW. As a result, the company's operating profit margin rose to double digits at 10.6%. Net profit also surged by 714% during the same period, reaching 9.9 billion KRW.

By business segment, the resort operation division recorded cumulative third-quarter sales of 113.5 billion KRW, showing a stable upward trend with a 10% increase compared to the same period last year. The sales division posted 80.1 billion KRW in revenue, a significant growth of 189.2% year-on-year, reflecting the construction progress of the premium condo Lusongchae, which is currently on track.

A representative from Mona Yongpyeong stated, “The stable sales from the resort operation division and the reflected construction progress of the premium condo Lusongchae in the sales division are expected to continue through the end of the year, leading to a record-breaking full-year performance.”

Building on the stable performance of its existing resort operation and sales divisions, Mona Yongpyeong is actively expanding its F&B business segment. In July, a new corporation, Yongpyeong Valley Co., Ltd., was launched, and efforts are underway to increase consumer touchpoints through department store promotional events and business participation. In December, new products will be launched alongside existing popular items to strengthen the product lineup.

Additionally, the company is advancing its next mid- to long-term project in collaboration with Gochang-gun, promoting the “Gochang Comprehensive Theme Park Project.” Construction is scheduled to begin in earnest in the second half of next year, aiming for completion in 2028. The company plans to establish mid- to large-sized condos and a golf course within the theme park complex and will hold operational rights for these facilities after completion.

Mona Yongpyeong expects the “Gochang Comprehensive Theme Park” to become a representative marine ecological tourism destination on the West Coast. Through various mid- to long-term projects, the company aims to develop a resort chain and enhance its brand value.
