There is a starting stamp available at Ojeong Grand Park. The stamp depicts the Bucheon Bicycle Culture Center, which opened in 2009 within Ojeong Grand Park. The Culture Center exhibits unique bicycles, including the world’s first bicycle, the Draisine, offering a variety of sights to see.

Starting the walk at Ojeong Grand Park in front of Yeowolcheon, which is being transformed into an ecological stream, you will soon meet Bernecheon at a place facing the fields. Yeowolcheon and Bernecheon are streams originating from the eastern foothills of Wonmisan Mountain and flow together before splitting at Ojeong-dong. After the split, the stream flowing south is Bernecheon, and the one flowing north is Yeowolcheon. Bernecheon immediately joins the Dongbu Canal, but after walking a bit, they separate. The Dongbu Canal is an artificial waterway that draws water from the Han River to supply agricultural water to Gimpo, Gangseo in Seoul, and Bucheon areas. It was constructed between 1923 and 1925 during the building of irrigation facilities.

Walking about 1 km along the sidewalk, you will come across Gulpocheon. Gulpocheon flows through the Bupyeong Plain and Jeonho-ri Plain into the Han River. During the Goryeo and Joseon dynasties, there were plans to extend Gulpocheon to create a canal from the Han River to Incheon, but these plans failed. When walking along Gulpocheon, looking up at the sky, you can often see airplanes taking off and landing. However, since the path is frequently used by bicycles, you should be careful of your surroundings.

Walking north of Gulpocheon, you will meet the Gyeongin Ara Waterway and reach the Han River, arriving at the terminus in front of Ara Gimpo Passenger Terminal. The arrival stamp features the Gimpo Ara Marine Center. This place is located in Gochon-eup, Gimpo, at the entrance of the Ara Waterway connecting the Han River and the West Sea. At Ara Gimpo Terminal’s passenger terminal, marine center, and marina center, you can enjoy yacht and boat experiences, as well as sunset cruises.
