According to Hanam City on the 14th, the pledge implementation evaluation group, composed of Hanam citizens, held a meeting in the main building situation room of the city hall to share the status of pledge projects over the past two years and to check the progress of ongoing pledge projects.

As a result of confirming the pledge implementation rate, the 8th term completed 78 out of a total of 124 pledge projects as of the end of October. Notably, in 2024, achievements include the pilot operation of a dog playground, operation of an integrated daycare center for children with disabilities, support for grandparent-grandchild care allowances, and promotion of attracting GTX to Hanam.

Additionally, the pledge implementation evaluation group conducted an evaluation of outstanding pledges for the 8th term. Among the 78 completed pledges, the group highly praised those directly felt by citizens, such as the operation of a mobile market office, creation of a loess road, and improvement projects for child protection zones (Hanam-style school zones). The city plans to continue encouraging pledge implementation by providing incentives to employees who fulfilled outstanding pledges.

Furthermore, amid high public interest, the group reviewed the progress of ongoing projects including the early commencement of Line 9, the transfer center at Mannam Square linked with Line 3, the creation of K-Star World, the development of the Camp Colburn advanced industrial complex, and the construction of the Gunryanggol urban planning road.

Mayor Lee Hyun-jae stated, “We have arranged this meeting today to discuss the progress of pledge implementation with citizens over the past two years,” and emphasized, “Hanam City will further solidify pledge projects based on communication so that citizens can directly feel the implementation of pledges in their daily lives.”

Meanwhile, Hanam City achieved an A grade (excellent) in the ‘2024 National Basic Local Government Heads’ Pledge Implementation and Information Disclosure Evaluation’ conducted by the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters.
