'Into the Citizens, Visiting Open Mayor's Office' is a region-tailored communication channel where residents can apply through their neighborhoods regarding local issues and inconveniences, and the mayor along with the heads of relevant departments visit the site to provide direct answers. Starting from a meeting with residents of Galmae 2 Complex East Hill on December 13 last year, a total of 22 sessions were held (5 times in Galmae-dong, 4 times each in Sutaek 3-dong and Donggu-dong, 3 times each in Sutaek 2-dong and Gyomun 2-dong, and once each in Gyomun 1-dong and Inchang-dong).

The main issues and civil complaints addressed so far included △ the incorporation of Guri City into Seoul △ the development project of the Topyeong 2 Public Housing District △ various redevelopment and reconstruction progress △ the opening and operation of Line 8 △ GTX-B Galmae Station stop △ park facility improvement complaints △ illegal parking and issues related to public transportation routes.

Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun aimed to resolve residents' questions on-site as much as possible, and for matters requiring further action, he immediately instructed the responsible departments to ensure prompt resolution of complaints.

Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun stated, “The operation of this Open Mayor's Office provided a valuable opportunity to hear vivid and diverse opinions from residents directly on site,” and added, “As the saying goes, ‘The answer to every problem lies on the ground.’ We will continue to make our best efforts to conduct field-centered communication administration by visiting the site whenever citizens request, listening carefully to even the smallest opinions or inconveniences, and actively engaging on the ground.”
