Recently, the "Value-Add" strategy of increasing asset value through remodeling is gaining attention as an alternative for real estate investment. In particular, remodeling has simpler permit procedures compared to new construction and shorter construction periods, which can improve investment efficiency. It also aligns with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management due to its carbon emission reduction effects.

The forum will feature participation from specialized companies in various fields, including global real estate investment firms, asset management companies, PM firms, and design firms. They plan to explore ways to maximize investors' asset value in the rapidly changing real estate market environment through value-add remodeling investment strategies and cases.

The first keynote presentation will be delivered by Lee Hyung-seop, CEO of Heine Korea, a global real estate investment firm. He will present "Outlook on the Domestic Office Remodeling Market." Following this, Kang Jeong-gu, CEO of GRE Partners Asset Management, a real estate asset management company with experience operating Daegu Bandal Square, the largest value-add project in Korea, will explain "Remodeling Projects for Commercial Real Estate." The third presentation topic, "Architect’s Value-Add Design Strategy," will be presented by Kim Myung-jin, Head of the Renovation & Office Facilities Business Unit (BU) at Junglim Architecture. Lastly, Kim Jang-soo, Executive Director of the Engineering Division at HanmiGlobal, will introduce a case of "Eco-friendly Office Remodeling PM" and discuss remodeling PM processes and business feasibility strategies from the client’s perspective.

Lee Guk-heon, Chief Technology Officer of HanmiGlobal, who hosted the forum, said, "We aimed to specifically examine real estate investment strategies that can simultaneously satisfy economic and environmental values through not only remodeling trends for building value-add but also actual successful cases." He added, "We hope this will provide strategic insights that can be practically applied by business stakeholders considering enhancing the value of existing assets by referencing the investment strategies of professional investors and asset management companies."

The forum is free to attend for those involved in real estate asset management and development industries or interested in building remodeling projects. Online pre-registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis through the HanmiGlobal website or a separate application link.
