Yeoju City Dream Start Holds the 3rd Supervision Meeting

On the 14th, Yeosu Dream Start in Gyeonggi announced that it held the 3rd Supervision Meeting on the 12th at the Dream Start program room to efficiently carry out the project and provide high-quality integrated child case management.

During the meeting, two high-risk cases were discussed, emphasizing a multifaceted approach covering various areas such as the child's physical health, emotional stability, and learning support. Case managers shared various problems and difficulties encountered in the field of child welfare and sought more effective support measures through advice and guidance from external experts.

In particular, among the major cases discussed this time, specific support measures were discussed for a child who experienced emotional withdrawal and social isolation after being a victim of school violence. The discussion focused intensively on emotional stability and psychotherapy, strengthening communication with the family, cooperation with the school, and environmental improvement.

The supervisor who attended the meeting emphasized, “Emotional wounds caused by school violence can be healed through consistent support and psychological safety nets, even if it takes time,” and added, “For the child's recovery, the family, school, and local community must cooperate together.”

Yeosu Dream Start provides customized welfare services to vulnerable children in the region, especially strengthening regular case reviews and expert cooperation systems to help the emotional and psychological recovery of children who are victims of school violence. It also announced plans to take the lead in protecting and supporting children in the local community through active intervention in similar cases in the future.
