Hyundai Motor Company and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) announced the results of the open call program ‘Project Hashtag’ on the 14th.
As an open creative platform where cultural and artistic creators can participate without restrictions on genre or theme, the works will be exhibited at the MMCA Seoul from the 15th until April next year. This year, among the 148 teams that participated in the call, the teams ‘Somang Samuguk’ and ‘Playing Art Method,’ which used the medium of games to present new perspectives and discourse on modern society, were finally selected.

Somang Samuguk allows the audience to input their wishes, which are then processed through an artificial intelligence classification system and delivered to the metaverse world called Somang World, enabling viewers to see how the virtual world is maintained or disappears. Playing Art Method offers an experience where the audience plays games while moving through each exhibition area and engages with videos and exhibition guides that interpret the works from multiple angles.
During the exhibition period, various related programs such as conversations with the artists, real-time game streaming services, and expert docent tours are prepared. A special program inviting past participating creators will also be held early next year.
