Volkswagen Passat and Skoda Superb Equipped with Kumho Tires as Standard

Supply as New Tires for Exstar HS52

Kumho Tire will supply original equipment (OE) tires to the Volkswagen Group.

On the 14th, Kumho Tire announced that it will supply the Ecsta HS52 as OE tires for Volkswagen Passat and Skoda Superb vehicles. The supply size is 215mm tread width, 60% aspect ratio, and 16-inch rim diameter (215/60 R16).

The Ecsta HS52 is designed to provide drivers with a comfortable driving experience and high safety, making it suitable for both sedans and sports cars. By applying a solid block design to the tread pattern, the tire maintains consistent road friction pressure when in contact with the road surface, reducing impact and noise while enhancing ride comfort.

Earlier this year, it ranked 3rd and 4th overall in summer tire performance tests conducted by the German automotive magazines ADAC and Auto Bild, respectively. This was the highest ranking among domestic tire manufacturers.

Kim In-su, Head of OE Sales Division at Kumho Tire, said, "Volkswagen and Skoda are brands that are very popular both domestically and internationally, and this OE tire supply is a result of recognizing the quality and technology of Kumho Tire products."
