"Providing the Best Beauty Services as a Gift to Seniors"
Agreement Signed with Nam-gu, Busan on the 15th for Activities
The 'Beauty Avengers' team, composed of top experts with over 20 years of experience, rolled up their sleeves to provide premium beauty services to elderly people in vulnerable groups.
Dongmyung University will sign an agreement with Busan Nam-gu to alleviate social isolation through beauty services for vulnerable groups on the 15th at the Busan Nam-gu Senior Welfare Center, and will also carry out its first volunteer activity.
The signing ceremony is expected to be attended by Jeon Ho-hwan, president of Dongmyung University, Oh Eun-taek, mayor of Nam-gu, and Seo Seong-bu, chairman of the Nam-gu Council.
The Beauty Avengers volunteer team, consisting of 25 members including franchise directors with over 20 years of experience, foreign cosmetics brand managers, professors, and graduate students pursuing master's and doctoral degrees, will provide total beauty care services such as hair, nail, and makeup to 70 elderly people starting at 2 p.m. that day.
Dongmyung University and Nam-gu have agreed to provide a 'gift' each quarter to help local elderly people, who are easily marginalized, experience the latest trends and techniques in the beauty field, fostering mutual growth with the local community.
Kim Kyung-yeon, head of the Beauty Industry Department, said, "We aim to contribute to improving the quality of life for elderly people in vulnerable groups by sustaining high-quality beauty services rather than making them a one-time event," adding, "Such top-tier services are only possible at Dongmyung University."
Professor Kim Kyung-yeon of the Beauty Industry Department at Dongmyung University and about 30 students also volunteered in May, Family Month, providing haircuts, hair drying, makeup, nail care, and hand massages to local elderly people.
