Adjacent to Railroads and Highways... Actively Targeting Frozen Logistics
CJ Logistics is establishing a large-scale cold chain logistics center in Gainesville, Georgia, USA, and is launching full-scale operations.
On the 14th, CJ Logistics announced that it will operate a large-scale logistics center equipped with cold chain functions in Gainesville, Georgia. The center spans 24,904㎡ and features various temperature control capabilities tailored to the storage temperatures of different products. Approximately 90% of the space is dedicated to cold chain logistics for refrigerated and frozen products, while the remainder handles ambient temperature logistics.
A rapid freezing system that quickly lowers temperatures has also been introduced. To ensure thorough quality control of stored products, a USDA-certified inspection laboratory has been established within the center.
The logistics center is adjacent to Norfolk Southern Railway and highways. It is explained that once the inland port under construction in northeastern Georgia near Gainesville is completed, it will connect to the Port of Savannah, further expanding the transportation range.
Gainesville is the largest production area for frozen poultry in the United States, with very high demand for frozen logistics, so the company plans to actively target this market with the new logistics center.
Kevin Coleman, CEO of CJ Logistics America, said, "We will operate the Gainesville center stably based on advanced technology and expertise specialized in cold chain logistics," adding, "We will continue to expand the high value-added cold chain logistics business and further strengthen our position in the North American market."
