Sangsaeng Investment IR Forum, Technology and Management Innovation Conference, and Other Events
The Korea Management Innovation Small and Medium Business Association (Main-Biz Association) will hold the '2024 SME Technology and Management Innovation Expo' over two days, June 14-15, at the Ulsan Exhibition & Convention Center (UECO).
The 2024 SME Technology and Management Innovation Expo was organized to showcase and promote outstanding achievements for the innovative growth and dissemination of results of South Korean SMEs, and to inspire innovation through awards for meritorious contributors and innovation conferences.
Hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and jointly organized by the Main-Biz Association, the Inno-Biz Association, and Ulsan Metropolitan City, this event involves 10 organizations including the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, the Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs, the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, and the Korea Technology Finance Corporation, unfolding under the slogan "Innovative SMEs, Adding AI."
In particular, innovation company exhibition halls are operated for four key focus areas facing innovative SMEs: AI, carbon neutrality, global markets, and R&D innovation. The event also features various side events such as the Win-Win Investment IR Forum and the Technology and Management Innovation Conference, providing a rich program that promotes networking among SMEs and shares innovation achievements.
On the 14th, the main event was attended by over 800 people including Oh Young-joo, Minister of SMEs and Startups, Kim Doo-gyeom, Mayor of Ulsan Metropolitan City, Kim Myung-jin, Chairman of the Main-Biz Association, heads of related organizations, recipients of technology and management innovation awards, winners of the management innovation contest, and executives and employees of innovative SMEs.
This year, the scale of awards in the management innovation category includes 1 Order of Industrial Service Merit (Bronze Tower), 1 Industrial Decoration, 3 Presidential Citations, and 4 Prime Minister Citations, totaling 56 awards.
Kim Myung-jin, Chairman of the Main-Biz Association, stated, "AI has already deeply engaged in our daily lives and industries, emerging as a key means to determine the success of digital transformation and even leading the creation of new business models. We hope that SMEs that have succeeded in scaling up through management innovation will gain various insights related to AI through this event and apply them to their business management."
