Limited Sale of 1,000 Sets After Pre-Order This Month
Official Release Targeted for May Next Year
GS Retail's convenience store GS25 announced on the 14th that it will be the first in Korea to introduce the sports drink 'Prime Hydration,' which is popular in English-speaking countries. Starting this month, it will be available in limited quantities through pre-orders, with an official launch planned for May next year.
Prime Hydration is a sports drink brand co-launched by famous YouTubers KSI (24.6 million subscribers) and Logan Paul (23.6 million subscribers). Thanks to the influence of these two YouTubers, GS25 explained that the drink is currently popular among teenagers in English-speaking regions.

From the 20th to the 23rd of this month, GS25 will sell a limited quantity of 1,000 sets of Prime Hydration’s representative products, Ice Pop and Blue Raspberry, through the Our Neighborhood GS app. Each product will have 500 sets available. One set contains 12 units and is priced at 48,000 KRW. The price per unit is 4,000 KRW.
Prime Hydration is made with coconut water as its base, allowing it to be enjoyed lightly even during various sports activities. Especially through this pre-order, consumers will be able to experience this drink for the first time in Korea exclusively through GS25.
With growing interest in health and exercise recently, the 'healthy pleasure' trend, which pursues both taste and nutrition, is spreading, and the sports drink market is also showing annual growth. In fact, GS25’s sports drink sales have recorded double-digit growth each year: ▲11.5% in 2022 ▲14.8% in 2023 ▲15% as of the end of October 2024.
GS25 plans to secure a diverse lineup, including zero-calorie and protein drinks, as well as famous overseas sports drinks, to meet consumer demand.
