Geumcheon-gu Seeks Outstanding Job-Creating Companies... Special Benefits Provided Upon Selection

Applications open until the 22nd for companies with 5 to 299 regular employees
Priority support for resident employment subsidies, various benefits including preferential selection for fairs and exhibitions

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it is recruiting participating companies for the ‘2024 Job Creation Excellent Company Certification Program’ until the 22nd.

The ‘Job Creation Excellent Company Certification Program’ is a system implemented since last year to support employment stability for local residents and the sustainable growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The district plans to select companies headquartered in Geumcheon-gu that have increased employment and expanded hiring of Geumcheon-gu residents, and provide various benefits.

Eligibility requirements are companies that have had their main office in Geumcheon-gu for more than one year as of the announcement date, with ▲companies of 50 to fewer than 300 employees having an employment growth rate of 5% or more in the past year and at least 2 Geumcheon-gu residents among the increased employees ▲companies of 5 to fewer than 50 employees having an employment growth rate of 5% or more in the past year and at least 1 Geumcheon-gu resident among the increased employees.

The evaluation criteria are divided into two areas: employment increase and employment environment. In the employment increase category, the employment growth rate over the past year and the hiring record of Geumcheon-gu residents are assessed. The employment environment category awards points based on the operation of the company’s welfare system. Additionally, the starting salary level for new employees and the conversion record of non-regular workers to regular workers are included in the employment environment evaluation.

Furthermore, additional points will be given based on employment performance of vulnerable groups, volunteer activities, donations, contributions to the local community, and the operation of employee welfare support systems.

Selected companies will receive various benefits including ▲certificates and plaques of excellent company certification ▲priority support for resident employment subsidies ▲support for HR and labor consulting ▲preferential selection for participation in overseas exhibitions ▲preferential selection for participation in advanced industry exhibitions ▲additional points during the review for SME development fund loans.

Applications can be submitted by visiting the Geumcheon-gu Job and Youth Division, via email, or by registered mail until November 22, and only documents received by 6 p.m. on the deadline day will be valid.

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, “Jobs created by companies are the driving force for revitalizing the local economy,” and added, “We will provide multifaceted support to create conditions for local companies to grow by generating quality jobs.”

Last year, the district selected six companies as excellent job creation companies and awarded certificates. This year, the program will be expanded to support more companies’ participation.
