Gyeonggi Companion Plant Festival to be Held at Suwon Convention Center on 17-18

The Companion Plant Festival will be held in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province.

Gyeonggi Province announced on the 14th that it will host the "2024 Gyeonggi Companion Plant Festival" for plant enthusiasts and those interested in companion plants at the Suwon Convention Center Exhibition Hall from the 17th to the 18th.

Hosted by the Korea Healing Agriculture Association and sponsored by Gyeonggi Province, this festival, themed around healing, uniqueness, and sharing, aims to provide visitors weary from their busy daily lives with small moments of healing and joy through companion plants.

At the event venue filled with various plants, visitors can feel as if they are embraced by nature for a moment, and even those who are growing companion plants for the first time will have an opportunity to get closer to plants and experience healing.

The exhibition zone features rare plants that are usually hard to see, allowing visitors to enjoy the mysterious sights offered by nature. Visitors can also experience a new lifestyle culture combining plants and home appliance technology.

Gong Jeong-sik, Director of the Gyeonggi Province Department of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Life Sciences, said, "Through this festival, we expect to encourage companion plant cultivation that allows people to feel mental relaxation and the healing power of nature amidst their busy lives, contributing to increased income for local floriculture farmers."
