Gyeonggi Province Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs, Ko Young-in, stated on the 13th at a gathering of female CEOs nationwide, "Gyeonggi Province will make greater efforts to reflect the hardships of women-owned businesses in our policies."

Deputy Governor Ko Young-in made these remarks in a welcoming speech at the '2024 National Women CEO Management Training' held at KINTEX in Goyang.


Deputy Governor Ko said, "Gyeonggi Province has the highest number of women-owned businesses in the country and has established a five-year plan to foster women-owned businesses to realize Gyeonggi as a place of opportunity where women can grow as key players in the national economy. Moving forward, we will support R&D and the development of domestic and international market channels so that women-owned businesses can gain strength and achieve results together."


Gyeonggi Province has established and is implementing a 'Five-Year Plan for Fostering Women-Owned Businesses' to provide practical policies and support for women entrepreneurs. Through this plan, comprehensive support such as funding, education, and information provision is continuously offered to women-owned businesses. The province plans to provide timely and stage-specific support measures and concrete strategies to strengthen the competitiveness of women-owned businesses, aiming to create an environment conducive to women entrepreneurs through multifaceted support.


Hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, organized by the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association, and sponsored by Gyeonggi Province and Goyang City, the event was attended by over 1,000 women entrepreneurs from across the country. They held a vision declaration ceremony under the theme "3.26 Million Women-Owned Businesses, Beyond Growth, To the World!"


Now in its 28th year, the National Women CEO Management Training is the largest women entrepreneurs' event in Korea, organized annually by the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association as it tours nationwide. The event includes consultations on management difficulties, special lectures, and exhibitions of women-owned business products.
