Yeongju City Conducts Current Project Training for Public Officials with Less Than 5 Years of Service

On-site Training for Advanced Bearing Industry and Yeongjuho Development Enhances Understanding of Key Projects

Yeongju City in Gyeongbuk conducted a second half-year training session on major city projects from the 12th to the 13th for about 50 public officials with less than five years of service.

This training, first held in May, received great responses from employees and was additionally implemented in the second half of the year.

The training began with an overview of the city's overall current issues, followed by visits to the High-Tech Bearing Technology Center and the Lightweight Materials Convergence Technology Center to share the industrial vision related to the 'Yeongju Advanced Bearing National Industrial Complex Development.'

Next, participants toured the Small Business Complex Support Center, which provides comprehensive support to small manufacturers of Punggi Ginseng, and explored the Sunheung Reservoir (Baejeom Reservoir) deck road and the Yeougol Glamping Site, which utilizes a closed school as a tourism resource.

Additionally, the head of the Yeongjuho Development Division, newly established to develop Yeongjuho as a new tourism hub, personally introduced major projects and explained the progress of projects such as the Yeongjuho Tourism Circulation Pedestrian Bridge through an on-site briefing.

Notably, this training included an experience at the Yeongju Adventure Castle and the Cheonjijin Traditional Thought Experience Center’s webtoon escape room theme park, allowing employees to engage directly and share their opinions, fostering immersive learning.

Mayor Park Nam-seo said, “I hope that the employees who will lead Yeongju’s future gain rich field experience through this training and, based on that, devise innovative and progressive policies. I also wish for them to create Yeongju’s vision together with a challenging and proactive attitude.”
