On the 12th, Seosan City in Chungnam held a "Capacity Building Training for Small Business Owners (Daycare Centers) to Prevent Industrial and Major Accidents" at the Seosan City Childcare Support Center auditorium.
This training was organized in response to the Serious Accidents Punishment Act being applied to daycare centers with five or more employees starting from January 27 of this year. Around 60 directors of local daycare centers and safety managers attended the session.
For the training, the city invited Gaseongsoon, Director of the Korea Occupational Safety Institute's Safety Education Center, to provide guidance on the Occupational Safety and Health Act and the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
In particular, the training helped participants' understanding by presenting real-life cases that could occur at daycare centers, and there was a Q&A session to resolve any questions.
Moon Ikjeong, Head of the City Safety Management Division, said, "We hope that this training will help eliminate risk factors on site and contribute to creating a safe environment for both young children and childcare staff."
