Gwangju City Announces Open Recruitment for 20 Urban Planning Committee Members

Gwangju City announced on the 12th that it is publicly recruiting 20 members for the Urban Planning Committee.

The Urban Planning Committee, which plays a role in reviewing and advising on urban planning matters, is composed of experts in related specialized fields, excluding ex officio members.

The recruitment covers seven fields: ▲land use ▲architecture and housing ▲transportation ▲disaster prevention ▲environment and green spaces ▲culture and welfare ▲landscape. The committee members are to be experts with extensive knowledge and experience in the relevant fields, meeting certain qualification standards, and the term of office is two years from the date of appointment.

The application period is 15 days until the 27th, and application documents can be submitted directly to the Urban Planning Division of Gwangju City, or sent by registered mail or email.

Park Yong-su, head of the Urban Planning Division, said, “The Urban Planning Committee plans to appoint experts in the urban planning field to ensure transparency, fairness, and professionalism in future urban planning operations,” adding, “We hope for the active interest and applications from experts.”
