During this monitoring, the locations and operational status of safety facilities such as lighting, video cameras (CCTV), and emergency bells were inspected in key areas of Gunnae-myeon (4th), Yeongbuk-myeon (5th), and Yeongjung-myeon (11th), with a detailed check for any safety blind spots.

Additionally, the filming team of ‘Pocheon PD Goes’ accompanied the monitoring, conducting interviews to listen to the opinions of local residents, thereby carrying out a resident-participatory monitoring process.

Subsequently, a discussion was held to compile the opinions of the citizen participation group, discuss future improvement directions, and gather suggestions for creating a safer environment. The discussion was guided by expert instructor Park Sang-hee.

The city plans to promote solutions to the issues identified on-site through interdepartmental collaboration.

A Pocheon City official stated, “This gender-sensitive safety monitoring provided a valuable opportunity for citizens to directly experience safety and explore improvement measures,” adding, “We will continue various activities to build a safe urban environment together with our citizens.”

Meanwhile, Pocheon City plans to continuously implement various programs that can enhance citizens’ perception of safety to create a safe and women-friendly city.
