Uncle Tom is Coming... 'Mission Impossible 8' to Open in May Next Year

Actor Tom Cruise stars in the action movie "Mission: Impossible ? Dead Reckoning" (hereinafter "Mission: Impossible 8"), which is set to be released in May next year, announced the distributor Lotte Entertainment on the 12th.

The film tells the story of Ethan Hunt (played by Tom Cruise) risking everything to take on an impossible mission, with the subtitle "Dead Reckoning" carrying significant meaning. Christopher McQuarrie, who directed the three consecutive series starting with "Mission: Impossible ? Rogue Nation" (2015), is back as director.

The "Mission: Impossible" series, which has continued for 28 years, has attracted attention for Tom Cruise's stunt work without a double. From scenes swimming inside a flooding submarine to hanging precariously from a small aircraft in flight, the series has showcased intense action sequences. The eighth installment is determined to deliver relentless action once again.
