A customer who, while putting on a coat at a Chinese restaurant, overturned a bowl of jjambbong, making a mess on the wall and floor, left the store without a single apology, sparking controversy.

On the 10th, JTBC's 'Case Manager' released CCTV footage taken on the 8th at a Chinese restaurant in Seoul showing this incident. The video captures a group of customers leaving the restaurant after a company dinner, and as the last person stood up and put on their coat, they accidentally hit a bowl of jjambbong broth with their clothing.

The jjambbong bowl flew toward the wall, staining the white wall red. The wall, floor, aprons hanging on nearby coat racks, and chairs were all splattered with red jjambbong broth. When a customer turned around at the loud noise, they seemed to hesitate upon seeing the mess but then ignored it and left the store.

The store owner, Mr. A, who reported the CCTV footage, said, "Later, an employee saw it and asked if the customers had fought, saying it looked like a disaster," expressing disbelief. Mr. A added, "I was angry that the customer left without acknowledging that they had spilled the jjambbong bowl after checking the CCTV," and lamented, "I’m not asking for compensation, but it’s upsetting that they left without a word."

Lawyer Park Ji-hoon, who watched the video, said, "Why put on your coat there? You should put it on outside," and added, "Go back now, apologize, and sell a lot of jjambbong."

Netizens who saw the story responded with comments such as, "That stain on the wallpaper won’t come off," "They should have at least told the staff," "They could have wiped the floor before leaving," "Where’s their conscience?" "From now on, put on your clothes outside," "Maybe they ran away quickly fearing compensation," and "What did the staff do wrong?"
