16 Cases Reviewed Including Natural and Artificial Place Names

Ulsan City will hold the "2024 2nd Ulsan Metropolitan City Place Name Committee" at 2 p.m. on the 12th in the International Conference Room on the 4th floor of the City Hall main building.

The meeting will be attended by Vice Mayor for Administration An Seung-dae, who is the chairman, and about 10 members of the Place Name Committee.

At the meeting, deliberations will be held on a total of 16 cases, including the "Soeburi Bridge" to be installed within the road construction section Jung1-121 connecting Dalcheon Hyundai I’PARK and Cheongokcheon, as well as natural and artificial place names such as "Hwangbangsan" reported by district and county place name committees according to the 2024 place name maintenance plan.

The place names decided by the Place Name Committee will be registered on the national basic map through a notification by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport after a 30-day period for requesting reconsideration.

An official from Ulsan City said, "Place names reflect regional history and tradition and are names passed down and used locally, so we will actively collect opinions from local residents."
