Earlier, Lee revealed through social media that on the 9th, after participating in the Korea-Taiwan friendly basketball game held at Taipei Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store, she noticed a car stalking her as she left the event venue. The white vehicle, occupied by an unidentified woman, followed Lee, who was traveling by motorcycle, for about 90 minutes. To evade the stalking, Lee briefly stopped near a convenience store, but the car continued to roam nearby, preventing her from returning home.

The New Taipei City police stated, "We are applying the Stalking and Harassment Prevention Act to this case, which is currently under investigation," and added, "Two suspects have been identified." They also decided to increase patrols around Lee Da-hye’s residence. Taiwanese media reported that Lee plans to move due to this incident.

In Taiwan, cheerleaders enjoy celebrity-level popularity. Popular Taiwanese cheerleaders are known to be active not only at baseball stadiums but also in TV entertainment shows and commercials. There are even fans who visit baseball stadiums specifically to see the cheerleaders. In this atmosphere, many Korean cheerleaders have recently transferred to Taiwan. Currently, Korean cheerleaders are active in five out of the six Taiwanese baseball teams.

Lee Da-hye is the first domestic cheerleader to transfer to Taiwan. She debuted as a cheerleader for the KIA Tigers in 2019 and transferred to the Taiwanese baseball team Rakuten Monkeys in March last year, becoming the first Korean cheerleader to enter the Taiwanese baseball scene. Since then, she has filmed 12 commercials including for Coca-Cola, debuted as a singer, and achieved the rank of the most popular YouTube creator locally. In July, the Korean Representative Office in Taipei appointed Lee Da-hye as its first Korean honorary ambassador since its establishment.
