This campaign, aimed at spreading social awareness about respecting children's rights and preventing child abuse, has been promoted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Child Rights Protection Agency since Family Month in May. The relay continues by taking photos with campaign placards and nominating two next participants.
Mayor Lee Chung-woo of Yeoju City said, “I hope this campaign will foster a culture of positive parenting that respects children as they are in our society, and I will do my best to prevent child abuse. We will create a Yeoju where children are happy and safe.”
Meanwhile, having been nominated by Lee Dong-seok, Chief of Yeoju Police Station, Mayor Lee Chung-woo nominated Park Doo-hyung, Chairman of Yeoju City Council, and Kim Yong-gil, Director of Yeoju Christian Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, as the next participants.
