The facility, capable of producing 340,000 tons annually, will be constructed at LG Chem's Daesan Plant in Chungnam. The contract amount is approximately 714.2 billion KRW, and the construction period is expected to be about 32 months.

A GS Construction official stated, "Based on the project management, design, procurement, and construction capabilities honed through successfully executing traditional plant projects, we are securing technological expertise in the new energy transition market as well," adding, "We aim to emerge as a leading player responsible for a key sector in the energy transition field."
