Seongdong-gu Holds Orientation Session for New Medical Aid Recipients

Medical Benefits System Training for New Recipients on the 12th at 2:30 PM in Seongdong-gu Office 3rd Floor Auditorium
Education on Proper Use of Medical Benefits and Rights and Duties of Customized Welfare Recipients Expected to Prevent Fraudulent Claims

Seongdong-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jung Won-oh) will hold a 'New Medical Aid Beneficiary System Briefing Session' at 2:30 PM on the 12th in the large auditorium on the 3rd floor of Seongdong-gu Office.


At this briefing session, information will be provided to about 100 people who newly acquired medical aid from June to October this year on reasonable ways to use medical aid and the rights and obligations that customized welfare beneficiaries must know.


Under the subtitle "Health Growing Strong, Easy to Understand," the session will cover ▲ procedures for using medical aid institutions ▲ out-of-pocket expenses by type of medical aid ▲ daily limit system for medical aid and extension approval application ▲ selective hospital and clinic system ▲ reporting obligations that customized welfare beneficiaries must know. The overall content of the medical aid system and proper usage methods will be explained in an easy-to-understand manner for new beneficiaries.

Through the education, appropriate use of medical institutions will be encouraged to promote the financial stability of the medical aid fund, and by guiding the reporting obligations that beneficiaries must know, it is expected to prevent cases of fraudulent claims that may occur due to lack of knowledge.


In addition, Seongdong-gu’s health management projects and national health screening projects will also be introduced to raise beneficiaries' interest in health management and help prevent and detect chronic diseases early.


Jung Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, stated, "Through this briefing session, I hope new medical aid beneficiaries can resolve their questions about medical aid and use medical welfare properly," and added, "We will continue to strive to improve the quality of life for beneficiaries so that residents can live healthy lives without any blind spots in medical aid."
