Korea Guide Star Publishes Report After 7 Years
Includes Status of Over 11,000 Public Interest Corporations
A white paper summarizing the workforce composition, financial flows, and other key statuses of over 11,000 domestic public interest corporations has been published.
On the 11th, Korea Guide Star, a domestic public interest corporation evaluation agency, announced the publication of the "2024 Korea Public Interest Corporation Yearbook."
This yearbook contains key information such as workforce composition, assets, income, and expenditure of 11,521 domestic public interest corporations based on the 2022 fiscal year.
It also provides an overview of the overall status of domestic public interest corporations, including the status by type and size, financial and non-financial conditions, and the top public interest corporations in terms of assets, income, and expenditure.
Additionally, it includes the history of the public interest corporation disclosure system and the status of public interest corporations by type and quintile from 2018 to 2022. This yearbook was produced with support from the Community Chest of Korea and can be accessed in e-book format under the publication materials tab on the Korea Guide Star website or at Kyobo Bookstore.
Park Du-jun, Secretary General of Korea Guide Star, stated, "The '2024 Korea Public Interest Corporation Yearbook' has been published for the first time in seven years since the '2016 Korea Public Interest Corporation Yearbook.' We plan to publish the yearbook annually to enhance understanding of the nonprofit sector and contribute to the activation of research in the nonprofit field."
