This event was organized to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and to dispel prejudices against mental illness, after the ‘Under the Moonlight, 3 Generations Empathy’ campaign originally scheduled for October 18 was postponed due to sudden heavy rain.
During the campaign, mental health-related experience and promotion booths such as the mission stamp tour, the Mind Pharmacy with a Mind Prescription, the Haewuso that catches negative emotions, and the mental health screening center offering sleep and depression scale tests received great responses from citizens.
Mayor Bang Se-hwan said, “Everyone goes through difficult times when their mental immunity drops like a common cold. I hope this campaign provided a meaningful opportunity for people to reflect on their mental health and meet a new version of themselves.”
Meanwhile, the city plans to expand the nationwide Mind Investment Support Project, which provides professional psychological counseling services to help citizens facing emotional difficulties, starting in 2025.
