Inspection of 891 On-site Civil Service Cases by Visits to 5 Eup and Myeon Areas
Busan Gijang-gun (Governor Jeong Jong-bok) announced on the 11th that it held the ‘2024 Resident Suggestions Implementation Report Meeting’ at the Gijang-gun Office briefing room on the 8th.
This report meeting was organized to closely review the progress of each department regarding the resident opinions and suggestions directly collected by Governor Jeong Jong-bok on site, and to discuss future measures. About 30 senior officials attended the meeting presided over by Governor Jeong.
This year, a total of 891 resident suggestions were received through village visits in five towns and townships and the operation of on-site civil complaint offices. Among them, about 44% were related to road construction, public parking lots, park development, and bus route expansion, indicating that transportation and infrastructure were the most common areas.
As a result of the progress review, 633 cases (71%) of the suggestions have already been completed or are currently being processed. The county is also reviewing other suggestions in various ways to reflect residents’ opinions as much as possible and plans to promptly decide on feasibility and handle them accordingly.
Governor Jeong Jong-bok stated, “Carefully reviewing and actively reflecting the voices of residents heard on site is our important mission,” and urged, “Please ensure thorough implementation of an administration that resonates with the residents by promptly addressing their suggestions and frequently sharing the progress with the suggesters.”
