The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education was selected as an exemplary case in the field of efforts and achievements in reducing private education expenses.
The Office announced on the 11th that it was selected as an exemplary case in the area of efforts and achievements in reducing private education expenses in the "2024 Metropolitan and Provincial Offices of Education Evaluation Exemplary Cases" announced by the Ministry of Education on the 8th.
In this evaluation, the Office was recognized for its contribution to reducing private education expenses through ▲ Gyeonggi Shared School-linked Learning Spaces ▲ The Deojaram Project tailored for 3rd and 4th grade elementary students ▲ ‘Onpum Education’ to raise parental awareness.
Following the selection as an exemplary case, the Office received an "Excellent" rating by passing the criteria for 17 out of 18 indicators in the quantitative evaluation. This was the result of active efforts from the preparation stage of the evaluation, including analysis of national tasks and educational reform tasks, monitoring performance by department for each indicator, and inter-departmental consultations.
The Office plans to promote exemplary cases based on the evaluation results for each indicator. For insufficient indicators, it will seek implementation plans after in-depth analysis by theme through expert diagnosis.
Seo Hye-jeong, Policy Planning Officer of the Office, said, "This exemplary case selection result is an achievement made by the entire Gyeonggi education family and will bring positive vitality to the promotion of Gyeonggi education policies," adding, "We will continue to actively strive to ensure that autonomous, balanced, and future-oriented Gyeonggi education policies receive excellent evaluations in various fields."
