Ulsan Office of Education Begins Construction of Seosa Kindergarten... Completion Scheduled for February 2026

Complete Integration Education for 6 General and Special Classes

Establishing a Play-Centered Educational Environment Including an Open Library

The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Cheon Chang-su) has selected Migeon General Construction (CEO Lee Jae-young) as the contractor for the tentatively named Seosa Kindergarten, which is being newly built in Beomseo-eup, Ulju-gun, and has commenced construction with the goal of completion by February 2026.

The construction project management service is being handled by Daeheung General Engineering Architectural Office (CEO Jung Tae-seok).

Seosa Kindergarten will be a three-story building with a total floor area of 4,288.6㎡, accommodating 12 classes with 84 students (6 general classes with 60 students and 6 special classes with 24 students). In particular, the kindergarten plans to implement fully integrated education by matching general and special classes on a one-to-one basis, where kindergarten teachers and special education teachers will work together. The project budget is approximately 16 billion KRW.

Based on the philosophy that "play is the best education," the Ulsan Office of Education plans to create a play-centered educational environment by establishing open libraries, indoor playgrounds, sand play areas, and rooftop gardens on each floor.

With the increase in kindergarten demand due to the development of the Ulsan-style 2nd District Public Housing Complex, the Ulsan Office of Education has been developing detailed implementation plans for the construction of Seosa Kindergarten since last year, conducting design competitions and services, and recently selecting the contractor. On the 4th, a safety prayer ceremony was held to mark the start of construction.

An official from the Ulsan Office of Education stated, "Seosa Kindergarten, as a standalone integrated kindergarten, is expected to greatly contribute to creating a society free from prejudice and discrimination through fully integrated education where children with and without disabilities grow together from early childhood, fostering proper character and a sense of community."
