An American YouTuber who caused controversy for inappropriate behavior, including kissing the "Statue of Peace," has been referred to the prosecution for causing a disturbance at a convenience store.
On the 11th, the Mapo Police Station in Seoul announced that on the 6th, YouTuber Johnny Somali was sent to the prosecution without detention on charges of obstruction of business.
Somali is accused of causing a disturbance by playing loud music at a convenience store in Mapo-gu, Seoul, on the 17th of last month, and using abusive language when the convenience store staff tried to stop him. The police began an investigation after watching a video Somali posted on his YouTube account and imposed a travel ban.
Meanwhile, Somali has faced criticism for inappropriate behavior such as kissing the Statue of Peace during a YouTube live broadcast and is also reported to the police on charges including assault and drugs.
