Heungkuk Fire & Marine Insurance Launches Campaign to Support Small Business Owners... Accelerating ESG Management

Heungkuk Fire & Marine Insurance, a financial affiliate of Taekwang Group, announced on the 11th that it has been conducting a ‘Small Business Support Campaign’ since last month. This campaign was created to support small business owners who are struggling amid difficult economic conditions. Employees directly write support messages that are delivered to small-scale business owners.


Among the campaign targets, 50 relatively small businesses were selected from about 100 neighborhood stores that have acted as ‘Guardians for Preventing Financial Fraud.’ These neighborhood stores participated in protecting financial consumers over the past year by distributing notices to customers introducing methods of financial fraud such as voice phishing and smishing, along with prevention measures.

Heungkuk Fire & Marine Insurance employees convey their support with customized messages for each store. Examples include encouraging phrases like, “○○ Handmade Sujebi, which gives me great comfort whenever my wallet gets thinner! A consistently great restaurant! Prosper together with Heungkuk!”


Since the campaign started on the 23rd of last month, over 200 support messages have been received, indicating active participation from employees. The Consumer Protection Office of Heungkuk Fire & Marine Insurance transfers these support messages onto pink stationery symbolizing Heungkuk Financial Group and delivers them sequentially to the neighborhood stores.


Along with policy information notices for small business owners, Cinecube movie tickets for leisure time, and notices about the ‘Safe Blocking Service for Credit Transactions’ to prevent voice phishing damage are also provided. The Safe Blocking Service for Credit Transactions is a service that preemptively blocks new issuance of credit and check cards, as well as new loan and installment transactions, through identity theft. Applications can be made by visiting existing banks, savings banks, NongHyup, Suhyup, Saemaeul Geumgo, post offices, and others. Each neighborhood store will keep these notices on hand and distribute them to customers, continuing their role as ‘Guardians of Financial Consumers.’


A representative of Heungkuk Fire & Marine Insurance stated, “Local small business owners are participating in protecting financial consumers, and our employees are joining in sharing warm hearts for small business owners, creating synergy. Under the management slogan ‘Taekwang ESG, a Great Light Illuminating Tomorrow,’ we will seek various ways to coexist with the local community and contribute to society.”
