Research Alom stated on the 11th that Niantic's augmented reality game 'Pikmin Bloom' has ranked number one in the Google Play Store's popular games, and predicted that Daewon Media, Asems, and SAMG Entertainment will benefit from this.


Choi Seonghwan, a researcher at Research Alom, explained, "Pikmin Bloom ranked first in Google Play's popular games as of the 20th of last month," and added, "According to data from the mobile index, an app statistics analysis platform, for the third week of October (14th?20th), Pikmin Bloom's weekly active users (WAU) were counted at 268,323."


He continued, "It is also observed from Naver search trends that searches for Pikmin have rapidly increased since early last month," adding, "Pikmin Bloom is a game created to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Nintendo's 'Pikmin' IP release."


He emphasized, "Following Pok?mon Go, this is the second collaboration between Niantic and Nintendo," and added, "Pikmin Bloom is a 'walk-and-enjoy Animal Crossing-style game' primarily targeting women in their teens to thirties, and it is gaining popularity."


Researcher Choi analyzed, "Due to the success of Pikmin Bloom, demand for Nintendo game consoles and Pikmin characters has increased, leading to a surge in visitors to Daewon Shop operated by Daewon Media." He introduced, "As the walking element of Pikmin Bloom promotes outdoor activities and running culture, demand for functional clothing and shoes is expected to rise," and added, "Asems supplies eco-friendly adhesive films to Nike, Adidas, New Balance, and others."


He further stated, "As demand for character IP expands across all age groups, attention is also called to SAMG Entertainment, which owns various popular characters including Hatchuping."
