LG Electronics Conducts Pre-Inspection of System Air Conditioners at Suneung Exam Sites

Air Conditioner Inspection of Heating and Cooling Systems at Test Sites Ahead of CSAT
15 Years of On-Site Inspections Since 2010

LG Electronics is conducting pre-inspections of heating and cooling system air conditioners to ensure that test-takers can take the 2025 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) nationwide on the 14th in the best possible environment.

Hi-EM Solutec, responsible for the maintenance and repair services of LG Electronics' system air conditioners, has been visiting CSAT test sites for 15 years since 2010 to check for any operational abnormalities in the system air conditioners.

This year, the pre-inspections will be conducted more accurately and quickly. AI technology-based inspections will be carried out at 70 CSAT test sites in Seoul where 'LG BECON cloud,' Korea's first ICT-based remote maintenance system for commercial system air conditioners, is applied.

'LG BECON cloud' is an AI-based management solution that monitors the operating status, control, and faults of system air conditioners in real time. Hi-EM Solutec uses this solution in the situation control room to inspect system air conditioners at each school and, with the newly applied 'AI Fault Prediction' feature from this year, predicts the possibility of faults and sends service engineers to the site for preventive measures before product failures occur.

Additionally, among the nationwide CSAT test sites, schools equipped with LG Electronics system air conditioners can apply for pre-inspections through the customer center. The application period is from the 4th to the 12th, and the pre-inspection service is free of charge, while cleaning and repairs will incur costs.

When applying for pre-inspection, service engineers check the condition of the outdoor unit fans and overheating status and inspect the system air conditioners inside classrooms to maintain appropriate heating temperatures. On the day of the CSAT, personnel capable of emergency dispatch will be assigned, and a hotline will be established with the schools to immediately visit and address any system air conditioner malfunctions.

Yoo Gwang-yeol, CEO of Hi-EM Solutec, said, "We hope all test-takers nationwide achieve good results in a comfortable environment," adding, "We will continue to provide differentiated air conditioning maintenance services based on AI technology."
