The People Power Party criticized the large-scale outdoor rallies held separately by the Democratic Party of Korea and the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) in downtown Seoul on the 9th, calling them "court intimidation rallies to shield leader Lee Jae-myung."

On the same day, Representative Han Dong-hoon wrote on his social media service (SNS) Facebook account, "They try to make it seem like they are doing it separately out of fear of backlash, but anyone can see that 'KCTU + Candlelight Action + Democratic Party of Korea' are acting as 'one team' on the same day and stage," adding, "Last time, the Democratic Party did it alone and got no response, so this time they seem to be pretending not to be together but are actually doing it together."

Representative Han said, "The reasonable citizens of this country will not participate in the 'judge intimidation and forceful protest' for leader Lee Jae-myung," expressing concern that "if the independence and fairness of the judiciary are so blatantly and openly threatened, all citizens will suffer."

He continued, "We will do whatever we can to change the parts where the government and ruling party are lacking," emphasizing, "The People Power Party will make more efforts for change and reform."

Floor leader Choo Kyung-ho told reporters, "It seems that recently the Democratic Party has begun to seriously shake the regime in alliance with the KCTU," warning, "The people will surely judge the behavior that destroys the constitutional order and tries to bring down the president."

Spokesperson Ho Joon-seok mentioned in a statement the recent heavy sentence handed down in the first trial to a former key KCTU executive on charges of espionage, saying, "The Democratic Party, which is effectively allied with those who seek to overthrow the liberal democratic system without any reflection, cannot escape the judgment of history."

Floor spokesperson Jo Ji-yeon criticized, "What is the Democratic Party, which has pressured the prosecution through absolute parliamentary dictatorship, and leader Lee Jae-myung, who is confident of his innocence, afraid of that they have to go outside?" adding, "Building an ironclad shield of 'prosecutor impeachment' in the National Assembly and 'court intimidation' outside does not erase the crimes that exist."
