The Suwon Nambu Fire Station in Gyeonggi Province held its own event and awarded certificates of commendation to 34 individuals for their outstanding service in firefighting in celebration of 'Firefighting Day' (November 9).

On this day, Suwon Nambu Fire Station conducted the event with various programs to break away from the traditional rigid atmosphere, including ▲ an exhibition of award-winning fire prevention posters ▲ an exhibition titled "Firefighting Stories Seen Through World Stamps" ▲ and an exhibition of calligraphy drawn by firefighters.

In particular, the promotional video of Suwon Nambu Fire Station, the congratulatory video for Firefighting Day, and calligraphy works by artist Kim Mujin received great acclaim from the attendees.

Go Youngju, Chief of Suwon Nambu Fire Station, said, "We thank the firefighters, volunteer firefighters, and civilian contributors who have fulfilled their duties by walking in the opposite direction for others," and urged, "Let us not be complacent with the present but strive to become firefighters who grow further in the future."

Meanwhile, Firefighting Day was established to raise public awareness and understanding of fire hazards, foster a consensus for spreading a safety culture, and enhance the pride of all firefighters. This year marks its 62nd anniversary.
