The Uijeongbu City Youth Foundation (Chairman Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 8th that it was selected as the first recognized institution among local public institutions (Type II) in Uijeongbu City under the ‘2024 Community Contribution Recognition System’ jointly hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea National Council on Social Welfare on the 7th.
The ‘Community Contribution Recognition System’ is a program that discovers companies and institutions that have consistently carried out community contribution activities in cooperation with non-profit organizations and recognizes their contributions to the local community. An evaluation team composed of expert judges assesses a total of 24 detailed indicators across 8 categories, including environmental management, social contribution programs, and transparent management.
With this selection, the foundation achieved Level 4 and received high scores in the social responsibility management area?problem recognition, programs, and impact of outcomes?as well as in the transparent management area during the evaluation of ESG management across 8 fields.
Kyugwan Kye, CEO of the Uijeongbu City Youth Foundation, said, “We will continue to consider social contribution activities that are practically needed in the community and discover and implement social contribution activities suited to the characteristics of the foundation,” adding, “All foundation executives and staff will take the lead in spreading more social opportunities and values and strive to achieve the highest grade, Level 5.”
