FSN announced on the 8th that the monthly active users (MAU) of its subsidiary Doohub's global K-pop fandom platform 'my1pick' in October increased by 1057% compared to the same period last year.
My1pick is the fastest-growing K-pop fandom platform in the global market, featuring a real-time voting system and unique rewards. It offers a service where users can regularly participate in various themed votes using the in-app currency earned. The platform is also actively involved in CSR activities utilizing the K-pop fandom, such as establishing a donation system based on voting.
This year, my1pick rapidly grew after being selected as the official voting app for major domestic K-pop IPs. It provided voting services for the Seoul Music Awards (SMA) with a 34-year tradition, KM Chart, Dream Concert, and more. Through this, it has established itself as one of the leading K-pop platforms in Korea. It also exerts influence in the global market by providing official voting services for CTS (Click The Star), an idol selection program held in 32 countries organized by the World K-pop Center.
Additionally, my1pick offered voting services that broke genre boundaries as a co-organizing agency of the Korea Drama Awards (KDA), beyond domestic and international K-pop IPs. In March this year, it successfully co-hosted the 2024 Universal Superstar Awards held at Kyung Hee University’s Peace Hall together with KM Chart.
Key metrics are also soaring. My1pick’s October MAU grew by 1057% compared to the same period last year. The average daily active users (DAU) also increased by about 550%. As it has evolved into a global platform, the number of countries using my1pick has expanded to 200. The number of members has also risen by 227% compared to the same period last year.
Towards the end of the year, my1pick plans to continue collaborating with leading domestic music IPs, notably operating the special voting service 'M Stage' together with Dingo, which has over 44.7 million total channel subscribers. M Stage is a voting service where fans directly participate to create a stage for artists to perform on, and the artist who wins first place gets to appear on a special Dingo Live stage. In November, voting is underway in the trot category, with candidates including Lim Young-woong, Lee Chan-won, Young Tak, and Song Ga-in.
Lee Jong-eun, CEO of Doohub, said, "My1pick has gained support from many K-pop fans by serving as the official voting app for major domestic music IPs and has grown into a global K-pop fandom platform used in 200 countries through participation in global projects. We will continue to provide various services that K-pop fans can directly participate in and enjoy, as well as collaborate with major domestic and international music IPs."
