More than 2,000 domestic and international participants challenged the trail courses of 10K, 25K, 40K, 80K, and 123K, which passed through rugged terrain.
The Sports Rehabilitation Center at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, together with physical therapy students, managed the physical therapy recovery booth to offer professional conditioning care for athletes and recreational sports participants. To ensure optimal performance and safe recovery for local community members and global participants, they applied customized stretching, injury prevention taping, massage therapy, and immediate emergency treatment, helping physically demanding trail runners to compete in a healthier and safer manner.
On the day of the event, an official expressed gratitude, stating, “The skilled experts and dedicated students of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology’s Sports Rehabilitation Center played a crucial role in helping domestic and international athletes and recreational sports participants prepare well and recover, receiving high praise from all involved.”
Song Min-young, head of the Sports Rehabilitation Center, a school-affiliated enterprise, said, “The DIT Sports Rehabilitation Center will continue to strive to positively impact community sports and public health through professional sports rehabilitation programs.”
The school-affiliated Sports Rehabilitation Center has been selected for the ‘3rd Phase School-Affiliated Enterprise Support Project,’ which provides support for five years starting in 2020. It operates various programs annually based on student practice and community needs, aiming to cultivate sports rehabilitation experts for the development of the local sports industry.
