Nongshim to Cook 'Hangang Shin Ramyun' in the Heart of New York City

Collaboration Event with New York Korean Cultural Center
Dining Experience in a Space Recreating Han River Atmosphere

Nongshim is collaborating with the New York Korean Cultural Center under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to hold the event "Han River in NYC with SHIN RAMYUN" from the 8th to the 10th.

The event recreates the atmosphere of Seoul's Han River Park in the heart of New York, blending Korean culture and sentiment. On the first floor of the New York Korean Cultural Center building in Manhattan, visitors can experience the convenience store culture of the Han River, which has become a trend among the MZ generation, and have the opportunity to taste "Han River SHIN RAMYUN" prepared with an instant cooker. Using a large LED screen and various special effects, attendees can enjoy a unique experience as if they were actually visiting the Han River while enjoying SHIN RAMYUN.

Kim Cheon-su, director of the New York Korean Cultural Center, said, "The Han River, which frequently appears in Korean dramas and movies, is like a sacred place for K-culture fans," adding, "This will be a great opportunity for the trend-sensitive New York MZ generation to broaden their understanding of Korea."

A Nongshim official stated, "Through this collaboration, we aim to contribute to the spread of K-food and K-culture in the United States with SHIN RAMYUN, Korea’s representative brand, in the heart of New York, known as a melting pot of world cultures, and further strengthen SHIN RAMYUN’s global brand image."

Meanwhile, prior to this event, the New York Korean Cultural Center held "Korean Restaurant Week," a 11-day event until the 7th, where Korean food was available at discounted prices at 26 local K-food restaurants in New York. Notably, the Korean fusion restaurant "Hojokban," featured in The New York Times, gained great popularity with a fried rice menu made using SHIN RAMYUN and Chapaguri, the Korean pub concept "Banjija" offered a Chapaguri menu served with sirloin, and the Korean lunchbox specialist "SOPO" introduced a sauce inspired by SHIN RAMYUN Tumba.

Additionally, on October 31 and November 1, Nongshim held the "SHIN RAMYUN Food Truck" event, where SHIN RAMYUN food trucks toured major New York landmarks such as Washington Square Park, New York University, and Times Square to promote SHIN RAMYUN.

The New York Korean Cultural Center established a new office in Midtown New York this year and has decorated the first-floor lobby to be a versatile space to showcase the taste and style of Korea.
