In Mexico, a Tesla Cybertruck rollover accident occurred, and Elon Musk, Tesla's CEO, mentioned the incident while boasting about the Cybertruck's stability.


Foreign media such as the New York Post reported on the 2nd (local time) that a Tesla Cybertruck collided with a statue on a street in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, and then the vehicle overturned. The exact cause of the accident has not been determined, but it is presumed to be due to speeding.

Photos of the scene show the Cybertruck flipped over, with parts and wheels scattered across the street. Although the accident was severe enough to crumple the vehicle, no fatalities occurred. Four people were in the vehicle; three were found inside and rushed to the hospital, while one was ejected and found on the road.


Photos of the Cybertruck accident scene spread widely on social media platforms. X (formerly Twitter) users praised, "Everyone in the Cybertruck survived. It proves Tesla's safety." In response, Elon Musk retweeted a photo and post of the accident on his X, stating, "The Cybertruck is tougher than a rhino."

Featuring a radical design, the Cybertruck is an electric pickup truck launched by Tesla in November last year. The vehicle uses a sturdy stainless steel alloy material with bulletproof capabilities and is known to carry over 1 ton of cargo and travel more than 500 km on a single charge, attracting attention at launch. The vehicle measures 5.7 meters in length, 2.2 meters in width, and weighs 3.1 tons. The price varies depending on options and versions but is known to range from approximately 90 million to 150 million KRW.


It has not yet been released domestically. However, on the 4th, singer G-Dragon attracted attention by arriving at Incheon International Airport in a Cybertruck. It was reported that the Cybertruck G-Dragon was driving had a temporary license plate attached.
