Developing 'Runner Customized Diet' After Survey on RunDay App
Aiming for Release in Next Spring Marathon Season
Emart's private brand (PB) Peacock is collaborating with the running training app 'Runday' to develop diet management products preferred by runners. Runday is a leading training app with a cumulative membership of 3.8 million.
Emart announced on the 8th that it will conduct a survey through the Runday app until the 18th and develop a total of about 10 diet management products for runners based on the results.

The survey consists of questions about individual running habits, eating habits, and important factors in diet. A detailed preliminary investigation on the form, taste, and nutritional content of food was conducted to launch products reflecting the demands and preferences of runners.
Products customized for runners are expected to include energy bars and energy drinks needed while running, as well as tofu noodle dishes and low-sugar desserts that can be enjoyed regularly. It is expected to take about five months until launch, and Emart plans to introduce the products in time for the marathon season next spring.
Peacock and Runday will also provide Peacock mobile gift certificates and Starbucks Americanos through a lottery for participants in this survey.
The reason Peacock is strengthening its diet management product lineup in collaboration with Runday is that the running craze is rapidly spreading, especially among young people. The domestic running population is estimated to reach 10 million, according to the sports fashion industry. They plan to introduce various 'healthy pleasure' foods for those who show high interest in self-care.
Currently, Peacock sells diet management products such as chicken breast, nut bars, Greek yogurt, cleanse juice, and Witch's Soup. This year, new products reflecting market trends in diet management have been released.
Representative products include ▲Sous-vide chicken breast (130g×4 packs, 8,980 KRW) ▲High-protein Greek yogurt (450g, 5,480 KRW) ▲Witch's Soup (350g, 4,980 KRW) ▲CCA cleanse juice (900㎖, 9,980 KRW), etc.
Nam Hyun-woo, Emart Peacock development category manager, said, "As running has become a mega trend, we proceeded with this collaboration to develop diet management products specialized for it," adding, "Based on the survey results, we will introduce various products that take care of both health and taste in partnership with reliable manufacturers."
