On the same day, Mayor Oh gave a special lecture titled "How Leaders Change the World" to current students and faculty at Korea University's SK Future Hall (Choi Jong-hyun Hall).
When asked about the role of people in their 20s in a polarized society, Mayor Oh responded, "If there are many wise voters who accurately observe how politics is conducted and judge who will lead in the direction you want, the country will eventually be set right." He added, "Even if your biggest interest is baseball, you must always watch politics with wide-open eyes."
Mayor Oh also told the students, "The foundation of confidence and self-esteem is preparation," and said, "The kind of confidence that might seem a bit excessive, the confidence that comes from thinking that if I don't do my job well, the citizens might suffer, actually comes from thorough preparation."
He encouraged them by saying, "As you approach graduation, your mind may not be at ease, and you probably have goals you want to achieve. It's a simple truth, but if you prepare thoroughly and diligently with sincerity, confidence will naturally come."
On that day, Mayor Oh reflected on his life journey, from a difficult childhood to passing the bar exam, his achievements as a lawyer, and his political career including the enactment of the 'Oh Se-hoon Law.' He also introduced his philosophy of Seoul city administration, 'Walking with the Vulnerable,' as well as past achievements such as the Hangang Renaissance and Design Seoul.
