On the 6th (local time), local media such as Times of India and Indian Express reported that a man in his 40s, Mr. A, was found dead at a hotel in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, on the 2nd. According to police investigation, the man collapsed and died while sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in the hotel room on the day of his death. It is presumed that the sexual performance supplement he took during intercourse caused a heart attack.

The hotel guest register where the incident occurred listed the relationship between Mr. A and the victim girl as father and daughter, but it was revealed that the girl was actually an employee working at Mr. A’s factory. The victim girl was known to have worked at a diamond factory in Gujarat, where Mr. A was a manager, to support her sick father, her mother who cared for him, and her unemployed older brother.

Local police stated, "The deceased man knew the girl’s father," and added, "The girl’s father was bedridden due to paralysis symptoms, and the man frequently visited the girl’s house to see him, maintaining a good relationship with their family." Mr. A had been financially supporting the family, but reportedly used this as leverage to threaten and sexually exploit the girl.

Last month, Mr. A persuaded the family to let the victim girl accompany him on a trip to Mumbai with the family, and the girl’s parents allowed her to go without any suspicion. Afterwards, Mr. A committed sexual assault at a hotel in Mumbai, and during this process, he lost consciousness and collapsed due to the sexual performance supplement he took, eventually dying.

A police official said, "Mr. A sexually exploited the victim girl by threatening to stop financial support," and added, "He threatened that if she revealed the abuse, he would also take back the money he had provided so far."

Upon hearing the news, the victim girl’s mother said, "I never thought he would do such a thing," and has filed a complaint against Mr. A. The police classified this case as a violation of the Child Sexual Protection Act, but since the suspect has died, they announced that they plan to dismiss the case due to lack of prosecution rights.
