A famous Chinese influencer with 2.8 million followers revealed a video showing himself eating pig feed costing 3 yuan (approximately 580 KRW) per day to save money.

On the 6th (local time), according to the Hong Kong media South China Morning Post (SCMP), Gong Youfeng, known as the famous Chinese influencer 'King Kong Liu Ke,' recently posted this video with the intention of living at minimal cost. In the video, Gong Youfeng claimed, "If I eat 100g of pig feed per meal, it only costs 3 yuan (about 580 KRW) per day," adding, "It can save the maximum amount on food expenses."

He introduced pig feed purchased for 100 yuan (about 19,000 KRW), explaining, "It smells like milk oatmeal." He also emphasized the soybeans, peanuts, sesame, corn, and vitamins contained in the pig feed, stating, "It is a high-protein, low-fat natural food and could be healthier than packaged food." However, during the actual tasting process, he showed signs of distress, saying, "It tastes too salty and sour." Nevertheless, he announced, "I plan to eat pig feed for a week to see if it is possible to maintain health with only pig feed and water."

The video quickly spread mainly on local social networking services (SNS), rapidly reaching 6.3 million views.

A nutritionist who saw the video warned in an interview with the media, "There are concerns about deficiencies in calcium, iron, and iodine when consuming pig feed," adding, "This can lead to malnutrition and osteoporosis." A representative from the pig feed manufacturer also pointed out, "It is not harmful to the human body but is unsuitable for human consumption."

Local netizens also expressed critical reactions such as "What if children imitate this?" "Why on earth pig feed?" "Such a dangerous video," "Think before you post," and "They do all sorts of things for views."

As the controversy intensified, Gong Youfeng deleted the video.
