Global aesthetic specialist company Classys announced on the 7th that it has recorded its highest quarterly sales for three consecutive quarters.
Sales in the third quarter of this year reached 59.4 billion KRW, and operating profit was 29 billion KRW, representing increases of 23% and 17% respectively compared to the same period last year. The cumulative sales up to the third quarter amounted to 168.5 billion KRW, and operating profit was 86.6 billion KRW, marking increases of 27% and 28% compared to the same period last year.
Classys’ flagship product, Shurink Universe (overseas name Ultraformer MPT), continued to see growth in domestic and international sales. The faster-than-expected spread of Voluumer led the performance growth.
Domestically, growth in consumables sales followed the full-scale marketing efforts. Classys has strengthened consumer-oriented marketing by appointing Kim Soo-hyun as the model for Voluumer and Go Min-si for Shurink Universe.
In September this year, the brand awareness expanded through consumer participation marketing campaigns such as the Voluumer ‘NewMe’ campaign, and the number of procedures is reported to be increasing. The company stated, “Recently, the search volume for Voluumer on domestic online platforms has increased significantly,” and expressed expectations, saying, “In the fourth quarter, consumables sales could exceed the cumulative sales volume of the third quarter this year.”
Voluumer is also showing positive initial market responses overseas, which are translating into performance. In the key market of Brazil, since its launch in April, it has quickly established itself in the market by surpassing early user satisfaction expectations and exceeding the initial plan set at the beginning of the year. A company official said, “We have raised the sales targets for Voluumer in major regions such as Brazil and Thailand compared to the beginning of the year,” and added, “We are confident that we will be able to supply quantities exceeding the target by the end of the year in the United States, where sales have recently started.”
Meanwhile, the operating profit margin in the third quarter was 48.7%, down 2.4 percentage points compared to the same period last year. Advertising for Voluumer and Shurink Universe began in July. One-time costs related to the merger with Iruda were partially recognized. The cumulative operating profit margin for the third quarter was 51.4%, an increase of 0.6 percentage points compared to the previous year.
A Classys representative said, “Starting anew as an integrated corporation with Iruda from October, Classys has secured key technologies including non-invasive focused ultrasound (HIFU), monopolar radiofrequency (RF), microneedle RF, and lasers,” and added, “We will optimize global marketing and distribution networks along with protocol development to lead the trend of combination treatments and continue high growth in 2025.”
